Well guess what. Got the car back and it has the short hinge fitted and it looks like crap. The cover is hanging over the back way too much and they burnt the paint when removing the black knobs.

f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck

These *beep* cant get anything right ever.

Now it has to go back to them again.

Has someone got a picture of the over hang at the back and the front with their bulge type hard cover?

Fckin terrible...I dont think they've burnt it though that loks like the old tags have been pressing into the paint for too long.....

A good polish should get rid of it...

I'm with Dags, try a good polish to get rid of the marks. Use something with a little bit of cut in it if you have to.

Thanks Dags and Mike.

I have sent them pictures of the correct bracket which is supposed to be fitted as they do not know what I am talking about.

I will be in touch with them today. the cuts are deep and rough as guts. I would prefer them to see it and either paint it or get a detailer out to detail it.

I will let you guys know what the deal is today.

Does anyone have pics of the overhang on their utes and the front of the tub??

Cheers

Adrian

It does seem to be set back a bit too far...probably due to the incorrect bracket being used I guess.

In crude terms the front of the lid should be sitting over the edge of the foam strip in your second pic. There is normally a fair amount of overhang on the sides and back, but not quite that much. :spoton:

Adrian, looks like you have a problem with that lid allright and doesnt look like it is far enough forward, I know you have a BF but put photos of my Lid FG anyway showing fit. Is yours an EGR lid? as that is what brand I have on mine.

Cheers, Geoff

Thank Tab. I just called them and they are looking into the bracket and will get back to me today.

He is also booking in a panel beater for the rings but I think it might be safer not letting them touch it any more.
