That's Ford 'quality' workmanship at it's best mate. Did you expect any better from them dropkicks??

One simple word.....NO.

Well it is back at Ford as the Managers words were "That doesnt look right". I showed him the inside with the small bracket and how it was bending the liner inwards. I also provided him with lots of pictures and the actual part he needs to order.

I did a little research and found that the small bracket is used for the 3 piece covers as the 2 cover pieces hold the liner in place so it does not require the large support.

He is supposedly sorting it out tomorrow so I will just fang around in the brand new Mondeo for a while.

I'll keep all informed.

Cheers

Adrian

Well its no good.

Ford believe that the bracket fitted is the correct and only bracket available. They also had it re aligned as they say the person that was supposed to fit it didnt the day my car was in but now it he did. They also buffed out the cotton reel marks and said they are better but there will always be marks there very faint.

I cant be f*cked any more and will pick it up from them this afternoon and will be contacting Ford with a complaint.

Pissed

Adrian

I mean as opposed to dealer fitted - ordered mine with the hardcover and hooks deleted to save the monkeys getting involved.

That's poor.

Unless the bigger bracket is only used for factory installs? :roflmbo: Still a load of poo though.

They say that the bracket used is the only bracket as it supersedes the large bracket and cant be purchased.

I am going to pay a visit to an aftermarket mob to see if they can sort it out with one of there brackets. My car is never going to ford again.

They have a car in the show room with a factory install and it is the same bracket.

Well that really sucks, now I am going to a after market place to get mine hard cover that's for sure.

Thought that dealer seemed pretty good, well I might just forget about factory warranty and start modding
