Or does the pipe just click into place with it?

Than the pipe get pushed into the fitting. I did this last night. But because I am a retarted and cut the pipe it didnt seal. When cutting the fitting off, cut at the base of the stepped section. This will cut just above the copper clip that holds the fitting in place. The top of the fitting should come off the top. Than you'll need to push the bottom section down. Than remove the copper clip. Now the fitting is off. Check the pipe for damage. Than reinstall the new fitting. Easy as if your not a retard like me. But I dont wont it to leak again. You'll be right with yours just dont go up and down the fitting. Just cut in along the step section.
