I put the fitting in and up tightened it and its better but still weeping out. I think all I needs is a replacement the O ring does anyone have the workshop page for the power steering. so I can see the fitting and get a replacement O ring if it was an o ring because it felt more like plastic then rubber?. any help would be great cheers. A new fitting can be had for around $40. You need to cut the old fitting off the pipe. The fitting has a spring clip in it that allows the pipe on the hose end to be slide into place and lock in. This makes it quick to assemble on the assembly line.Ford wont sell you this part but coventrys carry it.You need a small hacksaw or dremel with cut off wheek to cut the fitting longitudaly to release the clip. You must be careful to ensure you dont knick the pipe with the cutting tool.before you ask i don't have any photos. If you searh Hanra's posts i think he posted a how too.If you pirtek guy doesn't know the fix that involves cutting the ford fitting off the pipe and installing a compression fitting i would suggest you get another pirtek guy.If you not 100% confident or capable find somebody who is as being a steering component you dont want it to fail at the wrong time...cheersLuke

So I cut the old one offAnd then went and bought another fitting from Ford. Part No. BA3F656B, Cost was $10 trade. As you can see the o-ring is stuffed in the old fitting. The new fitting is a high temp o-ring. This will last longer than the standard stuff. Now all I need to do is screw the new fitting in to the power steering pump and push the hose back on.More Pics later when I install the thing. Also much sure you clean up all the power steering fluid that’s has gone everywhere. Dirt and dust will stick to it and make you engine bay really dirty. Also there are two sealing o-rings in the fitting. Its the one you can not see until the fittings off that leaks all the time.
