This one's a bit like a double edged sword.

I've seen pictures of FG XR6T engine bays with the BOV mounted in both directions.

I plumbed mine the way the factory BOV was plumbed.

To be honest I've tried it in both positions and can't notice any difference. :dontknow:

If it is plumbed back and not venting to the atmosphere then it would be very hard to tell if it is opening properly or not. I'm positive it says in the Turbosmart fitting instructions that the Bosch valve works back to front and the Turbosmart valve should be fitted in the opposite direction to the Bosch.

Mine is plumbed the same way as the factory one and my trumpet port is blanked off.

Ahh, I was meaning it looks like your trumpet is pointing down towards the ground, not the front of the car. I almost hope yours is the right way around as it looks like it belongs there, more tidy.

Unfortunately not an option as the position of the ports doesn't allow for this.

I don't have a trumpet on mine. Just the blank for the trumpet port. It can sort of be seen on the l/h side of the BOV in the pic.

Either way, with the trumpet port blocked and the BOV plumbed the way mine is, or the other way, it still looks neat and like it should be there.
