Sorry, I can't seem to get this link fired up.

But it does show quite clearly which pipes to block off.

This pic was taken for another reason, but you can see the Kompact series BOV mounted on my car.

I don't think you'll be able to mount a Supersonic type of BOV to the FG as there isn't any alloy pipes to add a spigot.

Guys, I notice in all the pics (for the FG) that the BOV is sitting on top of the rocker cover and particularly with the GFB Stealth FX, as it is a much larger diameter, is probably scuffing against the rocker cover or being pushed down by the bonnet when closed. Is it possible to cut some lenght off the HP hose (that is the hose coming from the left hand front wheel side to allow the top of the BOV to sit in the gap between the HP piping and the rocker cover? That would put a bend in the discharge (LP) side of the BOV (the hose facing the rear of the vehicle and I am not sure whether you could get that to fit.

The reason I am asking is that I am considering buying the GFB Deceptor Pro which is the electronically controlled unit from within the car. It appears to be about the same size as the Stealth FX however, it has the electric motor stuck on the side of it which adds a small amount of bulk. See Link

Any thoughts?

any reason why Phantoms and Healeys BOVs are connected differently? Not a fan of the bov looking all squashed on the rocker cover, but phantoms picture with the trumpet facing down looks tidy.

I think you'll find it's Healy's that has the trumpet facing towards the front of the car.

His is also plumbed back to front.

Mine is plumbed the same way as the factory one and my trumpet port is blanked off.

God666, you could trim a small amount off the 'HP' hose but be aware that the hose is a tapered hose as the BOV and the elbow into the manifold are different diameters. It would be achievable though. I reckon. I also think your wasting your money on that BOV. Over $700 just to be able to turn it on and off! You'll get sick off the noise after a while also.

Hi guys havent been on here for a while.

Not picking, but phantoms BOV is mounted back to front, as the stock BOV works the opposite to the Turbosmart. The boost is pushing on the side of the BOV piston when it should be pushing on the bottom of the piston.

The BOV needs vacuum on top of the piston and pressure (boost) on the bottom to allow the piston to overcome the spring pressure.

I originally had mine setup to plumback and vent to atmo, but now it is full atmo. As mine is the 6Auto I only purchased the Turbosmart valve to replace the stock as I heard the stock is prone to leaking. But it does sound good when I back off.
