Looks like they've kept the same housing and narrowed the pump... less surface area. Also the old style pump due to the number of teeth would have much lower pulsing (smoother). Wonder if the fit of the pump is not right from the manufacturer?

Wonder why they do these things sometimes........suppose the new gear with less teeth is cheaper to make? :biggrin::stupid:

I dare say its a more effiecent pump, the newer design that is. However it would have been perfect if they had bushed the center of it

I think the main killer is axle tramp.. the rough beating during axle tramp on the plantery's cause this.. But ultimately they are not that strong.

It would seem that planterys are going to be the weak point.. Really need a aftermarket unit here
