Jamming something onto the sidewall and into the bead area on the tyres of a modern hi performance passenger vehicle gives me cause to pause and ask questions.

Personally, I would like confirmation that such systems have been tested in an appropriate manner, ideally by the tyre manufactures and the tyre retailer chains, before fitting such a system to a family vehicle.

Regards,

aa

there's no way you are going to upset the bead on a tyre by fitting these by hand ffs ! how strong would you need to be to shove the bead off a 36psi inflated tyre by hand ! :icon_ford:

I'd rather the scuffs than a piece of tape floppin round in the breeze after a few washes/rain soaked days when the glue gives up...not to mention all the gunk that's going to pool on the edge them and make them look worse than the scuff marks...

It's a good idea in principle but the application lets it down IMHO....

So... I have a VERY inquisitive 2 year old daughter who loves to go into my car and look for lollies...

My mistake? I left my lock nut in the center console... She just chucks all of the sh*t everywhere... And now she has chucked the locknut... I have searched my car, but I cant find it :-(

I need to get them off... How the f*ck do I do it? I dont want to damage the wheels!

Anyone know of someone who can do it without shagging my wheels? I pay cash...

on the factory ford lock nuts I had to smack a suitably sized socket on there and remove them with a breaker bar.

Hammer and a cheap smaller socket. Then undo with breaker bar not rattle gun

yep, find an old socket that's slightly smaller, smash that over it and stick a bar on that ! done !

I actually don't like telling anyone publically but I guess that's too late now !

How about a quick snap of these new wheels.
