Can you remember what the tyres were in 20s worm? Lookin at some ACHILLIES "sound awesome dont they" 20in tyres for correct load rating. Can go a 90 load rating in most good tyres but I think our cars are 92 or 93 load rating. I think if you overload tyres the sidewalls crack etc.

Achillies are fine 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 my kid has them on his N/A BA. I also have them on the rear of my VE wagon. Got 4 x 275 for $880 delivered to Perth. I run KU31 on my typhoon but use a 225/35/20 on the front as I feel 30 series on the front doesnt have enough side wall and the KU31 is a good tyre.

Thanks worm and arronm. Yeah the Archillies looked alright and will be getting the 245/30/20s if I go ahead. The Nankangs I dont think I would touch again. After looking at getting a set of 20s,I now know exactly what you meant in a previous post bout not being able to get descent tyres in 20s worm. Pretty silly that the better tyre makers dont make them with the load rating we need.

I'd definitely get Achilles for the front before anything else if I was running 20's again... I got them for $168 each from tyreplus in Berwick... Much cheaper than alternatives too!

I would also try the altenzos from Bob Jane... They have a nice tread pattern (asymmetric) so they should be very quiet...

Yeah. They are worth $168... Nankangs you won't get for under $200... And they are sh*t!

Ok... Just had a look at ALTENZO tread pattern... Nearly the same as my current tyres (FALKEN ZE912), which are a very quiet tyre... Great on the front... Who knows how well they grip... Once your car is tuned, nothing grips well!

Here is a couple of pics. First the Falken and then the ALTENZO... The Altenzo may be a good buy! I think about $199 at Bob Jane.

I think I have the same feeling that women get towards shoes and clothes and sh*t...

I've never understood it till I started changing wheels! LOL they can change the entire look and feel of you car in minutes!!!

And whilst they do this... They become boring over time (usually 3 months LOL)
