Some independent mechanics reckon that the problem lies in the Gas Coverter being stuffed. For Ford to swap it out takes proof, and from what the he has been lead to believe,Ford won't realease diagnostic data to non-Ford agents. There is only one LPG capable Ford dealer from my understanding in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area.Any help appreciated.Makes me feel like switching to GM.CheersChris.... I just thought it was normal. Still heaps cheaper than the T.

In the real world 17l/100 is pretty right.

There is only one LPG capable Ford dealer from my understanding in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area.any good workshop will have a scan tool that will get the basic trouble codes from the vehicle, most ford dealerships are lpg agents as they are required by ford, to maintain the dedicated lpg cars. from my experience it is around the 16L/100k but do remember that this is gas not petrol it sounds high but is actually normala common fault with the lpg ba/bf engines are the spark plugs they came out with standard temp plugs which has caused problems for the coil'sin this regard all lpg engines are being replaced with a different plug without customers knowing that they were wrong from factory.also remember that the old xh was full body not tray and was more heavier then the ba/bf's this also contributes to fuel consumption
