So it helps especially when you may have to break and not be too obvious about it to oncoming traffic that may have lights on their roof. I wouldn't go the paint though, I went tint film, as I'f need be can just peel off easily. I'll do them the same way I did my Late model camira ones, mix some black tint into some clear coat at work and spray them. Get a tinted finish and it stays glossy.
