Hi Guys,

I purchased a BF XR6T ZF6 11/05 build (so one of the first) over the weekend. It is stock and has just over 40,000kms and I would like to perform a full service on this car to ensure I know where it is at. I have speant many days searching though havnt really found what I was looking for. Basically would like to change the following:

Engine Oil + Filter

ZF6 Oil (Do I need to do any filter or anything?? This is my first Auto)

Diff Oil

Fuel Filter

Air Filter (K&N)

Spark Plugs

Coolant (Flush and Refill)

Then Brakes:

F & R Slotted (DBA 4000)

F & R Pads (Frodo)

New Fluid

That will take car of the servicing, then I would like to do a little suspension mods:

F & R Shocks

F & R Springs (low)

F & R Sways

Once all the above is done I would then like to do the Capa Tune but leave everything stock, so basically the best tune on I can get out of it stock using 98 Ron Fuel (From what I read about 250ish rwkw) This should hopefully transform the car as well hopefully getting better fuel economy :)

The car will be daily driven and street use only. Seeing the above if anyone can suggest anything that would be great.

Hopefully will get to meet some of you guys in the future.

Thanks

George

Well enjoy the car mate and :tonguepoke:

I would definately recommend a bigger intercooler though, although the custom tune will be good, the stock intercooler doesn't handle heat soak too well, so a more efficient unit would be good for consistency

Hi George, :tonguepoke: and cograts.

There's a bit of info on alternate tranny oils in this thread, will save you re-mortgaging the house to buy the genuine stuff but will void your warranty I believe. Off the top of my head you'll be up for a new sump pan as well, as these things are designed to be 'sealed for life'.

What colour is it? Oh and.... :wtf:

Thanks Guys for your quick responses, so in saying its sealed for life, does that mean it doesn't need to be serviced?? ie fliud ? Sorry bout the auto questions, just I never had one b4..lol

I have Attached a pic, and Senna it may be familair with you as its from the Peter Warren Group out Narellen way.

George

Why on earth would you buy it from there??? :tonguepoke:

They are supposed to be sealed. But if it's had a hard life and/or you're looking at upping the power then the general consensus is that it does require changing.

You have a very good plan to ensure the car is in good health and that it will stay that way for a long time to come.

Engine Oil + Filter - Definately

ZF6 Oil (Do I need to do any filter or anything?? This is my first Auto) - Bit early, unless its had a hard life.

Diff Oil - ???

Fuel Filter - Definately

Air Filter (K&N) - Much of a muchness

Spark Plugs - Check these first, dont just throw them. Does book say 40,000k?? May have already been done.

Coolant (Flush and Refill) - Nah

Then Brakes:

F & R Slotted (DBA 4000) - Definately for the front at least

F & R Pads (Frodo) - Just started using them and they seem ok

New Fluid - Absolutely, even if you dont do your brakes

That will take car of the servicing, then I would like to do a little suspension mods:

F & R Shocks

F & R Springs (low)

F & R Sways - Best, cheapest suspension mod going

And - edit
