My tuner said he prob wouldn't boost it over 12pound because of the power it makes and just having stock engine internals.

groper Member 611 Member For: 17y 10m 23d Posted 28/07/08 12:24 PM Share Posted 28/07/08 12:24 PM it depends on how the engine is setup... like what mods it has and the tune... if its got all the right gear, then 380rwkw @ 17-18psi is no problem with a tuner that knows their stuff properly. This is as far as practical with the stock turbo.According to a few REPUTABLE tuners, change the turbo to a t51 and you can push 420rwkw @ 15.5psi on stock internals with all the right gear... those in the know, know... there are few, that are in the know though...with a very good intercooler, the intake temps stay cool and therefore higher boost is ok. with a bigger turbo, the power is made with less boost and even lower intake temps, making the safe limit higher again... providing all the supporting mods are done....if your car is stock, and dont change much, then 12psi is about as far as id go with it too... and youll only get 300rwkw if that...read my friend, read, its all in here if you search for it...
