I saw it come on with I put my foot down but it was not causing an issue the car ran smooth and was the same as it was when I bought the car. I asked around and looked on the forum and because a few guys had the TPS issue I just ignored it.then after I took the car for service at ultra tune they re synced my TPS and it was fine for abit then I put my foot down since then I have been having some problems with the car getting to 5000 + revs and bogging down. also the car is stock Ba 03 4 Speed Auto.At first I thought it may of been an issue with a bad plug so since I was going to get a flash tune so I pulled plugs out and put in NKG 0.9mm plugs also since the cross over was off I tightened the manifold bolts, cleaned the throttle body, did the Boost Solenoid, and fuel filter. the car ran smoother still not the same. so I took it to get it looked at and as my warranty is extended it was not with ford the warranty group said I have take it to there mechanic so I took it to the mechanic and I told him the what it was doing and what I had done to fix it and how it was bogging down. he tested it and said I cant fix it and he said take it to ford.so I booked it into ford and put a boost gauge in to see what it was doing while I was waiting 2 weeks. it was making 1 - 2 psi boost max also with engine off it would sit at 0 then go to -5 vac then the car started then - 10 vac when cruising under load with no throttle. then when you put the throttle down it would got to 0 then to 1 - 2 psi so after a 2 week wait to get it tested by ford I got one of the mechanics to take it around the block so he could feel what it was doing. I then left it with them and got a call a few hours later the testing was that its my TPS. so called the warranty company and they told me sorry its not covered as its the pedal. I said but its linked to the system and that is covered but they said because its not the system its the pedal they wont pay. so was told I can take the car on the condition I book it in to get it fixed or they can send me a bill for $120 testing. so I booked the car in for 1 month away so I can save up the $813 to get it fixed. I got a quote but it only says $400 odd for the part there is no labor on the quote but on it has $813 written with pen on it as the whole figure. I start the car and look at the boost gauge and its reading -3 vac when car is started and when car is under load it does create move Vac then like it did before when I throttle it goes to 0 but no boost now. then I here hissing I look cant see anything get but in the car drive still hissing I see that the rubber that goes on the Throttle body is loose and one of the window water sprayer hoses is off. I called ford and told them what I found they said we did not go under the bonnet all testing was done with the computer. I said well it was not like that before I brought it to you guys and im not happy about it. she said ill ask the mechanic and call you back I got no answer. I called again I got told that they ware busy and that I would get an answer asap. I never got an answer and as it was Friday I was not going to wait till Monday so I tightened it up my self. took it for a drive boost gauge is still the same no hissing but no boost shows. So im at my wits end. I have to get the cash and also pay rego and if they cant get the hose clamps right how are they going to get the diagnosis right. looking at this issue here http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...;hl=boost+Gauge I also mite add its the same ford dealer and it was not the TPS. I asked ford before I took my car home are you shore this is my problem and they said yes this will fix your problem. I feel like I am going to be taken for a big ride and they are going to fix the TPS and its going to still play up then there going to turn around and want to test it again. also if they quote that is the issues and its not is it true that they have to fix it for no more then the quoted price? So if anyone has any information at all or if you had the same issue and your TPS got replaced and fixed it do you think its the TPS or something else. even if you can tell me if my boost gauge is ment to be showing more - vac under load then idle I would be very great full. I am getting to the point of throwing the towel in and starting to second guess if I should see the car or not. sorry for it being such a long post Cheers NEO

I havent noticed this for a while. could all of this be cause by the cat being collapsed?

neo Member 376 Member For: 16y 7m 30d Gender: Male Location: The Ville Posted 09/08/08 10:39 AM Author Share Posted 09/08/08 10:39 AM So turns out it is the Cat!. I got a high Flow cat with center muffler removed and now im not having anymore issues. even the TPS does not seam to be slowing me down? so its got me thinking how many people on the forum has this light and no issues? I can live with the light I have been for weeks. I was wondering if a flash tuner can clear the error codes?

If it turns out the be the throttle body or the pedal then you should get it sorted out. Even though it may feel fine to drive, I'd get it checked quickly as it may lead to serious problems. All the best,Dan
