Even though it was 3 weeks ago now and I have had no trouble since, I thought I would tell you guys anyway. The day I picked my car up (T ute) from Power Ford castle Hill I drove 30km and the engine started reving its *beep* off with no pressure applied to the pedal if I pushed the clutch in the revs would drop. I called power Ford in which they replied bring the car staight back. it turned out that the throttle body was faulty. Has this happened to any one else?

this could relate to the rough idle and stalling I and others have experienced. Ford cleaned up the idle solenoid on my XR, but it's crapped itself again and will be replaced next week.

I have just clicked over 3k and have just arrived home, I really cant believe I am writing this as I have just experienced virtually the same thing as what I did after 30 km of taking delivery of my car. The car back fired upon start up and then came the smoke, by the time I opened the bonet the smoke hade cleared and I was unable to see exactly where it came from, the idle on the car was around 3k rpm and progressively rising.

Presuming it is the throttle body like last time, I cant believe no one else has experienced this or maybe I just got the dud. TO HELL WITH FORD, any 1 want to buy a blue print XR6T UTE im going back to Holden.
