I make 720nm.... love it...

As senna said wait till you fit the cat and injectors as they WILL need a tune..

I didnt want to get a custom tune, then start doing more mods and have to take it back and get it redone again ....so I figured Id do what I wanted "then" take it round for a custom tune. I know I could have gotten a flash tuner and just loaded generic tunes into it but after reading about some of the dramas others have had with these I thought Id wait till I could just get it done properly and save the hassle. So far I have cut out to centre mufflers and replaced with hotdogs, fitted a Typhoon I/cooler, an engine oil cooler and a Typhoon cold air snorkel......does it feel any different?......dunno, but it feels like it and sounds like it but it could be just me. I have got a set of 42lb injectors for it but obviously they cant go in till Im ready for the flash tuner. Im not after top end power....what I want is good usable power and torque down low to keep it drivable you know... What sort of power figure will we end up with?...who knows..but the guys have told me she should be round 260-270 rwkws with these mods @ 10psi.....I cant wait for this.... Except I've thrown in an aftermarket cooler, replaced the centre muffler with piping only, and have a pod filter in the airbox. I can definitely feel a difference from stock. I'd say you should too.I'm thinking of getting a flash tuner and running the 8psi and 10psi stock tunes. If I can hear pinging, then I'll put it back to stock. But if there's no pinging, then I can't see any issues...Have people's engines blown without pinging with the CAPA generic tunes??

I went down the path of cooler, airbox and generic tune, which then ended up with a slipping gearbox and a slight power increase over standard. Just save the $$$ pick-up a used flash box and get a custom tune that will include injectors and valve springs.www.nizpro.com.au need I say more Edited 01/08/08 02:19 AM by XR6Turbo22
