I beg to differ. I had my licence , no car. My private school mates ( I went to a public school) had lovely gifts waiting in the driveway for their seventeenth. My old man , and rightly so , said you want a car you save up for it. Got my first car at 18, yes the old man helped me out with a portion of the rego as reward for me saving up. But that's it.

So you can shove the BS where ever you like. Subsequent to my first car I have worked damned hard to provide well for my kids, paid child support and alimony to my exwife ( my kids are in private schools thanks to me ) kept my home , still have the money to own a nice car and you call me on that and you don't even know me. I have paid more than most. I daresay my annual tax bill is more than you earn so STFU :spoton:

Best way to respect a car is to either build one (like I did) or save for one.

iam only Semi-Serious..... I mean to say theres no need to get worked up over a couple of p-platers. Their learnin the hard way.

Im not a p-plater but iam a young driver, and as it says beneath my name, im still usin the training wheel.

I have a very small record history and plan to keep it that way and in no way indorse speeding.

Fair enough , but I have a long standing fear that 300rwkw monsters in the hands of P Platers is not necessarily a good mix.

BAs are getting cheaper, so are mods. Experience dosn't match in direct proportion. Just be farking careful. It is easy to stack these things. I know first hand

In VIC there are restrictions, yet they're hard to police. Chop the turbo badge off your XR6T and it's bloody hard to tell the difference. Then you get kids putting turbo badges on their sick n/a XR6's adding confusion.

Yeah im gonna have to find myself a 'turbo' badge, as mines missing it.

It would be hard to police the whole scene but im guessin they (p-platers) cant register the car in their own name....

Just for my own info, can any old copper pull you over and have a look under your bonnet? Or do you have to be pulled over into an inspection bay that those f*ckwits from the RTA set up?

If all else fails for P-platers just apply for an exemption and pretend your family only has V8 or Turbo cars.
