Mate I probably would yes, but I wasn't saying ford shouldn't have to fix that. that's not Ford anyway, that dealership service staff. My dealership staff - as much as I don't like to admit it...

The thing that I stand by is that if you modify your car and drive it hard, then complain about DSC issues and shagged dif bushes - well too bad. Sure it can happen on standard cars, but once you've modified, you're on your own.

Don't get me wrong, if someone came to me and said "I think I've got a problem - can you try and get me a warranty fix?" I'll definately try and do it for them. If you have a stock car and it is having issues, fair enough, I'd be pissed too.

This isn't a stab at IB, more just my opinion

Its a muffler.. Seriously how hard would it be for ford to fix it. Im with ib its a bit of a joke.

IB a way that you might be able to adjust it is to unbolt the exhaust from the dump pipe and move it around. DA on site would be more than happy to do this im sure.

We had it up today ensuring the work Ford said it would do was done and my exhaust appears to be one piece and all welded, so it would have to be cut and then rotated so im not going to worry about it anymore.

My sole issue was my crooked exhaust and a particular service departments outright refusal to fix it. The play and pay rule is not even relevant to this topic and the fact that Ford fixed a bush under an agreed warranty does not change anything in my mind. Ford service continues to be a source of ongoing frustration and incompetance, which taints the other good areas of Ford Australia.

And I think I just realised that the machineing of my discs which they state in the report they did, couldnt have been done as I have locknuts and the key was at home with me. Only just realised this driving home this arvo, unless they have some other way of getting them off or is this just another example of there glorified BS.

I.B. - Its a regular service item, so it appears on the invoice, your car has DBA4000s that you cannot machine - so it wouldn't have been done. If they were going to do it they would've called you to ask where the locknut was

I put the DBA on a week after the car was in. It still had the orginal standard rotors on when it went in. Now ive got the DBA I dont really care, but without the locknut it couldnt have been done, though the paper work says it was.

Its been crooked since day one and I have mentioned it before and been fobbed off in one way or another.

im surprised no one has made note of this. back in the day when I was working at fraud as a service advisor, we were required to make a note of all the customers concerns and enter it into the system. if you have previously mentioned this numerous times to the service dept. then shouldnt the warranty be honoured for the pre-existing defect??
