I think the first thing to do is get leather put in it. Has anyone swapped out the cloth seats in Sydney and can recommend a place? I'd love to get it resprayed as well but I'm pretty sure it won't be worth it.

and I would agree that the average XR on here probably has been given more punishment than a cop car would get ,and you know it hasn't been tuned before and had bits taken on an off etc

and they do service their cars more than recommended by ford

only place I would have a good look is under the car make sure it hasn't done any nasty gutter jumps

as for colour whites a good colour in the xr get some good polish on it ,and the right wheels really set a white car off

I agree, I usually hate white cars but a T with dark tint and nice big wheels can look pretty damn hot imo.

Funny someone mentioned look for gutter jumps.

Last time I passed a cop, he jumped across a medium strip which had a gutter at least a foot high

Price will depend on the type of stitch and leather and how much you want to use.

Go and sample their range and compare to others.

Thanks guys - last question: is it easy to upgrade the stereo in these? I'm guessing NSW's finest didn't spring for the premium sound package.

A handfull of them do actually and sometimes other goodies. The price is somewhat unbeleiveable, but I disagree with some of the other posts as they are by far driven harder then most modded cars on here.

As was mentioned about a 1 foot high gutter is not a mere 1 off.
