Yes its safe mate, ive been running this 4 about 6 months now. Unscrew the banjo bolt from the side of the engine and have a look through it. You will see the tiny circlip holding the fine mesh in place, rip out the circlip then the mesh and DONE !! Put the de-filtered banjo bolt back in- that's it.

Brandon, your car has done plenty of kays yes? Its a pretty good certainty that all the pistons are well and truly bedded in and you shouldn't have much if any crap floating around in the bottom of the sump. If you want proper protection you should look at something like ETM's oil supply line with a filter (although you already have a braided oil supply line).

Short of that, change your oil and filter every 5-7000 kays and look after the car - you did clean the oil supply line screen didn't you?

Who makes the plate/tabs on the turbo, its a good idea to keep those dam bolts from coming loose?

There is no way you will destroy your turbo without a filter. Your engine oil filter does all the cleaning and if your internals are fine with oil being filtered through just an oil filter then of course your turbo will be 2.
