Hey guys,

Been reading lots of threads on LPG Turbos and it sounds like it could be a viable option.

just wondering, does anyone know where in WA you can get direct injection gas systems installed? I've head vapour injection systems aren't as good... Are they about $4-5K?

I want a turbo but with petrol prices its inevitable that they're gonna drop in value, like all big cars, significantly probably very soon...

My problem is - do I buy one, and use it for 3 years then sell it for 60% of what I paid? Or do I buy one and convert it with a direct injection LPG system? Or Do I buy something like and XR8 and then convert that due to the possibe cheaper conversion and cheaper tune costs? Or get something like a BA fairmont and put that on gas?

I'm really struggling as of what to do...I really want a turbo - so bad, but my head says don't be stupid...But I need a new car and I want to enjoy it...

So as you can see, I'm really confused, so any info on LPG direct injection would be really appreciated!

Thanks,

Dan

I'm not sure of what the exact term is for it...It's not the traditional vapour injection method.

Must be what you said mate...

I only know of 2 types - I meant the other type mate...

(I think that's what we both mean...?)

Cheers,

Dan

Liquid Phase injection is the term you are looking for :ifiusethisimafag:

Its still under development, but should not be too far away.

Just in time for me to do the conversion, cant wait.

Liquid gas injection is here now. It is a JTG system and only available from Australian LPG Warehouse and it's accredited installers.

It's new so there is only a limited number of fitters and parts.

They fitted it to a XR6T several weeks back, it made an extra 18 rwkw with no other changes made to the car. It only uses approx 5% more gas than petrol to do the same distance

Thanks guys,

I can't wait! In Perth, I think we get 2 - 3 K back so it could cost as little as 1.5K!

That's awesome news!!

Please keep me posted on any info and I'll do the same!!

Thanks,

Dan
