Over 2000rpm it went away but as soon as revs got low back it came.It didn't sound good so I threw it up on the hoist at the local mechanics....he took the plastic cover off and could turn the flex plate pretty easily.I ordered the heavy duty one from Nizpro which should be here Monday...While the tranny is coming out is there anything else I should be doing? It's the 4 speed auto. Only mods to it so far are shift points controlled by edit and a tranny cooler.....cheers fellas.....oh I'm running just over 300KWAny idea on the cost of labour to put the flex plate in? How long should it take?

I got a price from Nizpro for $170 just for the plate, Ford was $84, but really wanted to know how much is involved in installing it. Thanks Russ

So go buy yourself a new plate from Ford and save a few bucks. PM me for details.

Thanks RussHey Russ, Just had mine done last Thursday 04/06 by frauds and was $75 flex plate + new bolts, bushes and labour (4 Hours) for a grand total of $695 inc gst. I would say if your ride is not completly factory dont even take it to fords; but if it is, make a warrenty claim.I recommend go the Nizpro and your own mechanic.Cheers. Ohh Just saw the 382 (dont go to fords) Edited 10/06/09 10:38 AM by lowfutura
