yep problem was with garrett it was the plastic bearing races they were using apparently ford wasnt convinced of their durability with the heating/cooling involved

dont know if they are still plastic or they changed them or wat or if they just extended durability testing

was the problem as far as I know will try and find out

And its good to see Ford delivering on the turbo models. Yep, I heard too that there were issues with the Garrett but wasn't aware until now that they started deliveries.

that's correct, a few issues in a couple of pre production models but fixed before release and not a single failure in the 1000+ built so far.

As opposed to Expensive Daewoo with the VE, who release the cars with faults, then recall them later :w00t2:

yeh not sure on exact dates but the old man got his at the start of july got his before the dealer which was quite funny
