They all run a smalller turbo over the BF series to reduce spool up times but they are all the same turbo.Really? Same A/R and trim?Spose the only other thing slowing the F6 down is the weight. Same A/R and trim?Spose the only other thing slowing the F6 down is the weight.Yep F6 is heavier but technically still has higher power/weight ratioFG F6:1815Kg with 310Kw -----Power/Weight ratio 171Kw/tonneFG XR6T :1770Kg with 270Kw -----Power/Weight ratio 153Kw/tonneFG G6ET 1784Kg with 270Kw -----Power/Weight ratio 151Kw/tonneThe F6 should technically be quicker no matter what transmission, if tested side by side same driver, test conditions etc.And if you look at hot source Motor mag - it is by 1/10th.XR6T 5.2 secF6 5.1But then Wheels stated a 5.1 with the XR6T....I think the main variability we see in 0-100 times by the mags is operator variability (ie launch, gear shifts) and conditions. vfast Member 70 Member For: 16y 5m 26d Posted 20/07/08 01:55 PM Share Posted 20/07/08 01:55 PM It's been on my mind too. I dont know, during my drive there was only one time when I punched it during a tight left hander that it broke free on the inside. I guess with a LSD that may have equated to a large side step? But for 98% of my driving I dont think I will miss it.Be interested to hear from those with G6ET's if they are finding it a problem? Traction control will need to be turned off and spinning up one wheel is going to be a real pain. That's why I bought the XR6T. Another thing is I find a car without an LSD very unpredictable when powering on sideways. Edited 22/07/08 04:53 AM by Buf-Phoon
rockafellqeinstien Member 325 Member For: 16y 3m 27d Posted 23/07/08 10:54 PM Share Posted 23/07/08 10:54 PM Congrats on the new car - I am waiting on my my xr6t Ute white M6 LP from castle hill ford also (they have been great to deal with - although it wasn't that hard a sell job) - find out today an updated delivery time.Having driven a Ghia v8 BFII without LSD before the ute - It did start to bug me . without traction control if it kicked back to first it would simply light up the inside wheel even in a straight line and corners could become unpridictable under power. The xr6 T with LSD will just get down an boogy in a straight line (although fun can be had with a flick of the wheel). Personal preference I guess but they should really give the option of an LSD in the GE6t. (hell, it was standard on the EL Ghia with a NA 6).
