The original use of the term "rice" was used to describe a car that was modified to look like it was fast but wasn't. eg: big exhusts, intercoolers on na cars (I have actually seen this lol) monster tacos and guages ect ect. it was then adopted by the domestic bragade in america to describe jap cars, ie rice burners. it has really now just evolved into a term to describe any type of car wich the person who is using the term either doesn't like what has been done to it or is modified differently to what there car is.
