Why is it the sedans get a metal fuel cover and ute's get a plastic one that is ill fitting? so gay

Also a fuel cap that is non lockable? in harsh economic times..Tanks will be sucked dry.I emailed ford and got a lame response..

Think I design and fit a metal cover....Poor form indeed.

Ownership has commenced. On the rather fitting day of St Patricks Day I took delivery at about 5pm of my rather shiney DASH 6T ute. And what a lovely thing it is as well. No chance for a wash but a walk around failed to ID any flaw. The Sales Rep was rather good to deal with (Bruce Hardstaff at Sunshine Ford Southport) and seemed to have gone to extra care to make sure she was as 100% as any domestic car will ever be.

So after 100km of ownership all I can say is "Maybe I will run it in hard" The power is addictive for sure.

Early feeling are that it feels more solid than the Terri I drive at work. Doors feel heavy and solid. Interior is much nicer than BF/Terri with a much more quality euro feel.

MODS: No chance tomorrow but the FG GT rims go on Wednesday hopefully....the Brembo's may take a couple of weeks to get the time as all my days off are accounted for until mid next month. XR option 19" rims will be for sale by end of the week.

Well pretty average pics. I'm on nights so no real enthusiasm for doing much even with the new toy.

I'll clean it back up on Sunday and get a pic or two with it in some decent light.

Seems like I have an AC problem. It isn't getting cold - a good thing that the temps have finally dropped here..

I am still torn btw dash and mine being octane. Nearly 1400km done in 2 weeks..And no faults to report

Apart from when headlights are on auto I wish they would switch off when u stopped the car..I like leaving them on auto..So means got to lock and unlock it to turn them off.

I thought u lived in queensland re:temp drop? coz it still 30 degree and humid in the city.

Are u getting a hardlid or sticking with tonneau cover?

Driving in traffic all week since sunday.Ah the pain and fuel economy is nuts around the city..18L/100...On sunday with spirited driving all day..12/100...more like it.

Finally got to go for short bursts tonight and I remembered what it is really meant for..Cannot wait for the weekend. And fuel at awesome prices too!

Yeah I'm in Bris but am on nights so driving when it is cool. Even coming home from the dealer on Tues it wasn't that hot and it was comfy inside and I even turned it down as it felt too cold. Not sure what happened or indeed if anything happened.

I was the same between Dash and Octane. My heart still says Octane as I love orange on the Fords. If it was more like the XR5 orange it would have been no contest. I hope to get time on Sunday for a good wash and quick detail and hopefully bright sunlight for some nice full light pics.

On auto the lights turn off after some delay even if you don't lock the car.

I carry 2 dogs, the normal hard cover doesn't work for that. Maybe a rolltop or there is a mob who make hardcovers with hatches in them that might actually work. Won't be happening for a while as we just got back from holidays and the Brembos and GT rims aced my kick.

I only drive about 5 mins to the Gateway so haven't had any round town economy its all suburban and 80+kph stuff and its easy to get 9's but average over the 300km so far is 13.1 at 45kph....it was 30 at about 10kph when I picked it up from the dealer with 24km on the clock and didn't reset. When I do a fill I will reset and see what it gets over a normal work commute cycle.
