I have this terrible front end noise when turning hard left. I have established the following:

- It knocks and grinds and sounds like metal on metal.

- It comes from the front right only.

- It gets worse after the car heats up and have been driving for a while.

- It's not the wheel bearing / hub assembly as I replaced this.

- It didn't do it when I've left it with ford!

I've looked under the car several times and can't seem to work out what it is. I have had a BF dump and a bigger cat fitted and the exhaust does sit very close to the chassis rail but if the exhaust was heating up and rubbing on the chassis rail I don't think this would explain the noises I'm experiencing! There is a small mark where it looks like it touched.

Any ideas people? Engine mount?

Cheers!

Aaron....does your's ever grind? Mine only happens avove say 20 km/hr. Gives me the $hits. Does yours do it when the car heats up?

I'm pretty sure it's not the swaybar, I checked the bolts. Can't be certain though!

Cheers Guys

FYI Aaron.

I think my noise has dissapeared. I had the rear of my exhaust modified and at the same time had the exhaust guy (Exhaust world on Newcastle St) have a look at the dump and how it sits close to the chassis rail. He ended up moving it over and I haven't heard the noise since.

Get under there and see if your dump is close to the rail. Cheers.
