You asked for advice, people gave you advice that you should reconsider then you tell us we are all spoilt brats spending mummy and daddy's money.

Mate, I live with my wife and my son, can't afford to mod so I won't. getting further into the red every week.

I ain't no spoilt brat and like everyone else here work hard for our own money too, so ---- :icon_ford:

If you do have as much talent and idea about how it all works WHAT ARE YOU ASKING US FOR?

FU(K you must be all bored... if you all think he is so stuped why bother replying to his alittle astray comment. Now if you want to turbo your car DO IT it is your car and you will get a lot of enjoyment and anger in doing so, as I have just done, but with a little twist.

I went for a motor conversion $1750 they are cheep as now and there is one on ebay for $2000, but if that is a big outlay at once for you get the bits as you go it will cost a little more and the result wont be as good (depending on how far you go). The first thing you need to know is what power fig do you want? Be realistic this is a N/A motor. I am still runing the N/A computer, the only reason you need a t computer is for the boost control, I am useing a greddy profec B2 from ebay $320. What intercooler setup you looking at? standard-plenty on ebay, aftermarket- keep away from the monza ones THEY ARE sh*t no better then the f6 ones(pruven on the weekend) either the hybred one or my recomendation is Rapids ones they are the cheepest ones that out perform ther price.

Remember you want to produce as much hp at the lowest boost pressure.

parts I recomend for you are

1 flash tuner $500-600

2 intank pump $130

3 injectors $50-350

4 boost controler $200-350

5 aftermarket intercooler piping $130-500

6 intercooler $150-550

7 exhaust(cat back)$500-1500

8 valve springs $300-400+450-550fitting(dont do it your self)

the valve springs are needed because when the car is under boost the boost pressure forces the valves to open a little on the weeker ones

Good luck with it and as people have said there is no cutting corners with these cars but with this site and ebay you can cut a lot of cost on the RIGHT parts.

Just a Quick Question I'm up to the exhaust part of my project I'm thinking of going a 3inch dump and cat and

my mate has a xr6t standard exhaust cat back for $150 should I go this way or is there something simple

I originally wanted to go 3inch straight through to tail but the twin smaller diameter might do the same??

and remember doing it cheap lol

Well fella's this is the end of my driving life with my xr last week I lost my licence for 6yrs I didn think I would get that much but that's life I guess

teaches me a lesson LOL.

now I've got everything for my xr now and it's ready to complete but I have not drilled the sump yet it's the only thing that's left other then a couple of welds on the dump to connect the new cat.

should I finish this project and sell it as a turbo and hopefully get some silly kid to buy it, or should I put it back to stock and sell the kit to another outgoing young fella like myself willing to give it ago????? confused
