I will be start buying my parts in the next few weeks and need your experiences and advice to make the best decision...The following members posted the information below in my last thread - Forged Engine Tollerances NINKA - Mahle - QuietSenna T Mahle - QuietETM CP's - Quiet

Makes sense to have all info about the same thing in the one thread.Piston brand is one thing but if the clearances aren't spot on then anything will be noisey. If you combine my exhaust with the engine, the pod filter off the turbo and the Bosch 044, its a good idea to get a decent stereo!

Way way way less than Atomic would recommend when they sell the pistons.Really its upto your engine assembler and the quality of the machine shop and if they use a dummy head plate when they Plateau hone the bores. If they don’t use a dummy head plate they will need to give it more clearance to accommodate cylinder distortion when the head is bolted on. Do it tight without a dummy head plate and it will be very quiet when it seizesDo it lose with or without a dummy head plate and it will knock its head off regardless of what pistons you use.Talk to your engine rebuilder and see how many thousands of an inch clearance he recommends and that will tell you how good he is.
