I'm not sure how quickly it will turn into gas and go into the engine, but we want as much oxygen in there as possible I've seen plenty of people put dry ice up against the front of their intercooler.. that works great in dropping the intake temps as the air rushes past the dry ice, then past the intercooler I'm sure that will help drop the intake air temp a fair bit.
