The 5 is nice and I love it but nothing is like a bigger (rear wheel drive) car on the road.Harpoon.

It might not have the power of the bigger brother, but it does love going through the twisties.Had an XR6T with 285rwkw, there's a bit of savings with fuel by going to the XR5T but it's not worth changing over if that's the only reason for the swap. Either way, both cars are great.

I worked for vw for 3.5 years and they are VERY good cars.

And an XR5T is just about as bad as it gets. FWD is designed to be cheap and fuel efficient. XR5T is neither of these. The only positives of FWD, and it has NEITHER. Anyone who calls a FWD car a performance car is kidding themselves, and a victim of 'progress'. If people keep buying FWD 'performance' crap, that's all we're going to have in the future.Go something AWD. Fuel efficiency suffers a little, but there's options in the category much better than a XR6T for efficiency. And will still satisfy your performance itch.RWD fuel efficient options are limited, and exxy.
