well I hate to say it but im thinkin bout selling the xr6 turbo. as much as it hurts its just gettin to costly to run. lookin at a xr5 turbo wondering is it worth it? fuel economy wise and drivability is it still a raw performer like the 6 tu and is tourqe steer a prob?

^^^ Good call, especially with that emoticon!

The XR5T is a fun little car and they can be tuned similar to our T's. We have a guy that got approx. 200kw at the engine up from 166 stock. It goes hard and sounds the biz for a small car. Handling is great too, but you wont have the same torque as the T obviously

a mate of mines got one, did about 16sec down the 1/4(I think). looks tiding sounds sweet as, but im sorry it doesnt have a pinch on the T. a nice alternative with potential. can still have fun. will double check on what it did down the 1/4 to give you some comparison.

.

I'd imagine the Focus XR5 Turbo will not be much of a fuel saving on the XR6.

Had a Zetec Focus wasn't as good a car as I'd thought it would be was using

about 10.3L/100KM, not real good in the efficency stakes. FG XR6 TURBO is

about 11.6L/100KM and when priced against XR5 is more bang for your bucks.

.

My thoughts only.

Mate, now having a XR5, and a F6, I can say that if you going to give the XR5 a bit of stick... keep the XR6.... Fuel isnt much better, then what im hearing the XR6 is... when we took the XR5 up to the blue mountains on the weekend, and gave it a bit, came back with an average of about 13lt/100km...

The F6 would have been up around the 19lt/100km for the same trip but...

Not sure on the XR6, but guessing its not that far behind the F6....

Tourqe steering is a little bit of an initial reminder that your in a front wheel drive car, but after a bit of a run quickly got the hang of it and found the line the XR5 likes and doesn't like... cornering around the 80km+ is not an issue on a trip like the blue mountains... and around town not that much of an issue after a few trips to the shops...

As an around town'er, I think the fuel reduction should be greater when being a easy does it drive... I guess we will know soon enough as its still less then 5 days old...

For the money- compaired to the others in the same range - Civic Type R, Audi A3, etc.. It got our vote!

Hope this helps...
