I've used it before on occasion, but does anyone have a practical use they rely on it for?Sending pictures of my dicvk to the ladies and hopefully getting pictures of boobies back. I am only being honest.Scotty

I've had phones with every gadget possible and never use anything but the telephone and SMS features. This sh*tty gadget that sits in my pocket will now contain my full contacts list, enable user-friendly email and store music that I can plug into the TT like an iPod. No other phone can offer that.I know other systems allow email, but they're clunky, not userfriendly and more hassle than benefit. My TomTom has my contacts, can read my sms' to me, can display pictures, can make calls, can plug into my stereo and play MP3's, and also has a GPS.... Looks like the iPhone is inferior to my TomTom and its atleast 12months old now!I guess some people seem to have to justify their bad decision making skills by trying to talk up the piece of poo they have recently bought... Must be user error if you think the Blackberry's are clunky... Edited 18/07/08 11:07 AM by Dagabond

Then I read that Apple will introduce new features with apps and firmware upgrades so it wasn't as bad as I first thought. Combine that with the hundreds of apps available after jailbreaking it and I think it's a pretty good unit.I got it yesterday and after I set it up I tried sending an sms and I immediately thought what have I done here! So hard! Now sms is easy as and I prefer it now compared to my old nokia.I've added custom ringtones, wallpapers and some neat applications.I've now jailbroken it and added video recording and a few others. Once a mms app is out for 2.0.2 firmware (a few weeks) then I'll be completely happy with it... I think.

My old blackberry had email, but it was clunky and slow. The iPhone is quick and easy to use, so I use it. I used to have all my contacts in my diary, as it was a nightmare to sync contacts from a computer to a Nokia phone, but with the iPhone, it's easy so I use it. Likewise with the calendar. The iPod feature is good too, as I now plug my phone into my car, instead of the iPod. I've found all other PDA's and Blackberries to be cumbersome, slow and not particularly easy to use, which negates their usefulness. The iPhone overcomes this so I use the features. When the video and MMS is added, it'll be even better - not that I use either of them much.
