There is an open practic day at Phillip Island before a weekend of Vic State Round. I will be there in my HQ any way, as I'll be racing on the weekend.

Its on the Friday, so it could be an issue for people during the week, and you'll need to hold a current CAMs licence to entry this event. So I think Phillip Island is out of the picture.

Motor Vehicle Open Practice Day

Starting Time: Friday 17 Oct '08 at 09:00:00 (AEST)

Ending Time: Friday 17 Oct '08 at 17:00:00 (AEST)

Motor Vehicle Open Practice Day

On Track Hours: 9am - 5pm

All applicants must hold a current CAMS Licence.

For further information call the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on (03) 5952 2710 or email: info@phillipislandcircuit.com.au

Just got off the phone to PIARC, these guys run the sprint days at Phillip Island. There next event is on the 20-21st September.

The Saturday is a practices day. You are allowed to have passengers. And are normally quieter than the Sunday. So more time on the track. The only problem is there is no timing unless you bring you own. The Cost is $145 for the Saturday plus $95 if you need a licence.

The Sunday is a timed event. No passengers allowed. Cost is $150 plus $95 if you need a licence.

The regs for both days are pretty strait forward, but you'll need a fire extinguisher in the car, an extra strap holding down the bonnet. Long sleaved tops, Long pants and Australian approved Helmet.

Which day would people like to go on?
