it always amazes me why alot of you blokes bag holdens so much, im not a ford or a Expensive Daewoo man... but seriously, when it comes to aussie performance cars ... Ford have so far to go to catch up to Expensive Daewoo that its not funny! , im not talking in terms of whats the fastest at the moment..but over the last 20-30 years.. what has Ford really done.. you think back to holden, and whether you like them or not..there are alot of tough cars that have graced our aussie streets! , VH SS, Vl grpa ss, walkinshaws, Vn grp a, the HSV's ... really, what has ford done that is comparable?

people mention the X series fords from the 70's, but Expensive Daewoo also had the Monaros, Torana's ..etc etc.

and HSV's always look a sh*tload better than anything tickford or fpv has come up with!

im clearly not biased I rocked up on the ford cruise in a ve ute

however on the other hand, im an extremely competitive fark. and the fact my mate twin turboed his ve ute left me no option but to do up a ford.

but ill take my ford over most holdens

u r rite from 87 to 2002 I do agree ford had nothin apart from the xr8 witch I think the xr6 were just as quick even today the fpv v8 still isnt is good as the hsv but ohh well lucky we have the f6 to make up for it :)the x serires they didnt bring much out apart from the gt and the esp and I think ford had a stronger motor back in the day then the holdens but anyway that's just wat I think

To be honest I don't really care.

Why support one footy team over another? Racecar driver? Cricket team? Soccer team?

Defiantely not one-eyed, but why pass up an oppurtunity to a) take the piss out of holdem, & b) take the piss out of Brandonnn???

2 things Ford has done that Expensive Daewoo will Never do 1. The worlds fastest 4 door production car being the GTHO

2. The most highly prize and most valuable Australian muscle car of all time

again the GTHO

Dont get me wrong I like all aussie muscle Falcons ,Chargers,Monaros etc but there is only 1 king long live the GTHO

Best car to own is a company car.

They cost nothing and you can use the money to buy a real race car. No one eyed wallies shooting carsonegenic radars at you there on the track, or if they do they all pat you on the back for having the fastest speed through the trap.

I am not bias at all, I drove both the VE and the FG on and off the track before buying.

Yep I bought the better car at the time.

Um I just saw a review from europe where they had a 427 hsv it creamed a M5, it smoked an E63 and only the twin turbo V10 Audi kept any where near it on the strait. It smoked them all around the bends. And for half the price. And considering they only sold 144 of the 427 they were going to build it wont take long before it takes the mantel of most expensive Aussie car. UNFORDTUNATELY

38 years is a long time for Ford to to ride on previous credit, and sorry but they have built under powered, over weight shiote since then. Even if the XC is still one of the best looking cars ford have made.

And now we have something really good to work with and Ford gives us grief for playing with them. LOL
