As for getting off my arse to help, that's what this discussion was all about. No one was aware the financial year wasnt end of June, so end of this month is a good thing.

As I and Nemisis have said, we are more then willing to helpout Trent, that's what being apart of a community like this is about. But im confused that you could say "So unless you’re willing to get off your arse and make something happen " but then say "so I’m sorry but you have no right to whinge and complain"

Please dont be so easily offended, none of this was supposed to upset anybody. Now I wish I had never said anything and just not cared.

most the time all we hear is "whens the next cruise", "wheres the next cruise", "when are we doing a brissy cruise", "when are we doing a gold coast cruise", "I cant make it to the sunny coast cruise (cuz it to far)". its like everyone standing there with their hand out will to take but not willing to give. but its not everyone so dont start getting all emo

Prior to me becoming a mod I was a cruise controller, and there has been no one else in Qld come along since.

Normally after people have run a successful cruise or two themselves they are given the cruise controller tag. This is mainly just to make it easier for them to organise things as they essentially have moderator access in these state-based forums.

If you want to do something yourself then it’s as simple as sending me a PM with the details and I’ll start a thread, or post it in the Qld Events & Cruises thread. However given that it’s associated with this forum the rules have to be followed and you need to scout-out the route first to make sure it’s suitable in terms of roads, parking, rest areas etc. In no way am I blowing my own trumpet here, but allot of work goes in to pulling one of these things off and I'm certain not everyone understands this.

There has been a cruise/event/dinner just about every month for the last year or so, along with the occasional meet-up and the weekly get-togethers that Matt is organising. What more do you want?

Apologies if I have offended you Karl, but was just giving a bit back in retaliation to your thoughtless post I guess. Seeing your whinging about my personal commitments (and doubting them) that in some way is letting everyone down pisses me off. Not sure what more you guys expect from me?

I didnt doubt you had work on tab, I honestly thought we wouldnt be able to have a cruise organized by you for 4 months (end of financial year). I can appreciate the work you put in here tab, honestly. The cruise I went on last month was the best I have ever been apart of. I can also understand that if anyone is trying to make suggestions outside of the square why you would get upset with them, but this isnt a dig at anyone. Im sure you too get disappointed when so much effort is put into organising a cruise and then on the day only half of those that have wanted a cruise turn up, let alone the demands from everyone to have the cruise suit them. Personally, I will drop anything for one of your cruise's.

Would it be an option to have a cruise controller nominated by the members to help with the work load tab? Would it make sense to have one from Brisbane, one from the Goldie and another from the Sunny Coast? All organizing one event a month (on seperate weekends), that way if your dead keen you can attend 3 over the course of a month or if your a winger about travelling then at least this way you will know there is a cruise / meet in your area at least once a month.

This way we could do a combined meet every three months that could have up to 30 cars attend.

(im not trying to tell anyone how to suck egg's, just adding my input. If its not wanted, just straight tell me to shut up and I'll pull my head in and just be a sheep. I cant help but be passionate about something I love)

you have to earn cruise controller, they cant just hand them out left right and center, but if your putting your hand up to become one then you will have to put a cruise together and run it by tab

At the end of the day it's up to the moderators to collectively decide on who is appointed, but first of all they need to prove themselves. That's the issue.

But your idea has merit, and maybe one day we’ll get there.
