it's weird they let you have it for so long prior to impounding it - are you allowed to chuck stockies onto it? I would be pulling as much exxy sh*t off it as I could.

Initial impound is only for 48hrs. Then they can apply to a magistrate to impound the vehicle for 3 months. I figured they wouldn't apply to the magistrate until I went to court. So after the initial 48hrs I went and got the car out. I am not allowed to modify, sell or dispose of the vehicle in the meantime as doing so is considered an offence. The day after I got the car out the officer that pulled me over came to my house and gave me the summons for their application to the magistrate which will be on the same day as I go to court.

Most people don't read the impound notice and when they go to court the 3 months starts from the court date and they end up having to pay 4-5 months worth of impound fees.

They wouldn't know about different turbos and other high end bits so I'm with old mate, pull as much good stuff off as you can IMO. I'd even fit a stock turbo if you could get your hands on one. That and load a valet tune in it. Agree about waxing her mate as I doubt it will be sheltered :( If you need a hand with anything let me know.

Anything happening this weekend fellas? Wouldn't mind taking the ute for its last run in my hands before she goes. Traded her in for a new BT-50 GT...

Yeah, need to be able to tow a lot more than the falcon offers, shame really don't want to see it go. But hey always a chance to own another later down the track.

Nah plates will be hanging in the man cave as a momento
