I got my new XR6T a few weeks ago and when I turned up to my dealer to pick it up with my ipod in my hand I noticed that I had no bluetooth or ipod connectivity! Turns out the fleet company forgot to order my Tech Pack but I was told it can be fitted at the dealers no problems. So yesterday I took it in to get fitted and now I find out that they cant get the ipod to work due to there being no software available for the FG yet. Ive since been on the phone to ford and the dealer and ive been told it could be up to three months for the software! When I asked them how they get the cars coming out the factory to work with the ipod if they dont have software I was told that they dont. Supposedly no new falcons work with the ipod becuase there is no software released. I know I read a review in a magazine that talks about having used an ipod and have seen photos of the dash with the ipod working has anyone here got a tech pack installed and used an ipod through it? I know its only a small thing but I have been hanging to get this and to now find out another 3 months is very disapointing. :brightidea:

It depends on your Ipod, it only works with certain ones. I know the Ipod Mini doesn't work but I can't find a list as to which ones don't work - sorry I can't help any more!

that's ok the list is on the ford website, mine is defiantely compatable. When I plug the cable in it doesnt even charge the ipod, but ford are saying that no ipods work at all and wont for up to 3 months becuase the software isnt avaiable. I find it very hard to believe and im going to drive to a dealers and plug my ipod into a car in the yard and see if it works.

Mate I'd be making sure it was hooked up properly too! If the system is getting power there is a good chance it will charge. Even when I hook up my Ipod Mini it still plays the songs and charges the ipod, I just don't get the itegration with the ICC

My bet is it cannot be dealer fitted and you just have a cable plugged into nothing.

They are hoping that you go away and forget about it. If your order with the fleet company says tech pack, tell THEM to fix it.

It is up to the fleet company to make it right as you have been inconveienced and are doing all the running around to get the problem sorted out.

They are making it your problem when it is not.

If they have installed the Tech Pak properly you should have the Bluetooth system and there will be a module in the centre console that the Ipod Plug is connected to.

If that isn't there then they have stooged you...
