A new sump plug costs under $10 if you round the head on it or damage it however Tab does.Too much at risk if this drain tap accidentally opens. I'm keen but so far I haven't read a report on exactly which size we need. They are only like $40 delivered and I love the idea of not having to tighten up the sump threads again. Major PITA if they stripped. Like the turbo oil line filter, metal oil cap and pwr zf heat exchanger I now consider it required preventative maintenance! Access would have been difficult for sump plug removal . A technician just opened the valve, and drained the engine. So easily done.It would be a perfect option for an inboard boat motor, with a hose passing out through the bung hole.
