Can't remember, I'll have to go through and see if I can find the receipt.

I'll stick to the good ol snap-on spanner I think. A new sump plug costs under $10 if you round the head on it or damage it however Tab does.

Too much at risk if this drain tap accidentally opens.

Six year bump

Which size do we need/have people used successfully?

From the site:

http://www.fumoto.com.au/sizes.php

Ford Falcon 6cyl 4L 12mm-1.5 F109N $34 <- the one people above had issues with

Ford Falcon BF XT MkIII 4L 12mm-1.75 F107N $34 <- hopefully this is what we need?

Yeah it's spring loaded to help keep it shut. I'm keen but so far I haven't read a report on exactly which size we need. They are only like $40 delivered and I love the idea of not having to tighten up the sump threads again.

Major PITA if they stripped. Like the turbo oil line filter, metal oil cap and pwr zf heat exchanger I now consider it required preventative maintenance!

I saw one of these on a site generator 5 years ago. Access would have been difficult for sump plug removal . A technician just opened the valve, and drained the engine. So easily done.

It would be a perfect option for an inboard boat motor, with a hose passing out through the bung hole.
