Interesting thing happened tonight, I lost traction in the wet, wheels spun for about 4 seconds, and the traction control off light stayed on. The button would not turn TC back on again until I restarted the car. Maybe because I have more power now? The TC doesn't stop wheel spin AT ALL with my current power level, with my old level (250rw) it used to half work.

Anyway just interested on it turning itself off...?

The first thing I do after starting my car is turn off the traction control. It doesnt

work to well after modding and having more power!!!, so dont worry you'll be right.

Just to answer your question, it is a failsafe feature, you overworked the traction control and it had a dummy spit and was letting you know that there may be a fault with the traction control (the fault in this case is so much power the TC became useless) turn off the ignition and it resets...

In the time I have had my car I have only done the same thing once and that was doing exactly as you were

pretty sure it happens with all tuned cars

I was told to always turn TC off

I think Tom could be right.

Mine doesn't work in the slightest. I assume it was deactivated when it was tuned, not that my tuner mentioned it at all.

I've been to WSID twice and each time I had a reminder taped to the console to turn the TC off. After having driven it for a while now, I've realised it does diddly squat anyway.

It would be nice to have it working in the wet though.
