Im looking at buying some 18’s off a BFII for my BA. Will it look ok.Does anyone know of the ride height will change by much? Will I need to get it lowered ? Will it look like a monster truck ?

Do the BFII have different springs in them than the BA to compensate for the move from 17’s to 18’s ?

Um pretty sure it wont change the ride height at all by changing to 18 inch wheels. As long as the tyre profile is smaller. For example 17's would have a 45 profile and the 18's will have a 40 profile. If your car isn't already lowered then I would suggest to do this regardless, will make your wheels look bigger and car handle better.

I put a set 18's on my BA recently.

My new tyres were about 20mm taller than my shagged 17's.

The Standard fitment 17" Tyres are 235/45R17 which are 643.3mm Diameter, while the Optional 18" Tyres are 245/40R18 which are 653.2mm. While this gives you an actual diameter difference of 10mm, this will only increase your car height by 5mm overall. Go for it.

Craig
