Want to put my sub box into this car, previous cars I've never bothered fixing it down, the carpet has usually just held it roughly in place with friction. But I wanna do this car properly so my question is:

How do I put my MDF box in the car securely and preferably without doing any permananent damage.

VELCRO IS THE ONLY WAY ! MAKE SURE U USE THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VELCRO

WORKS A TREAT WHENEVER I HAVE USED IT AND I DRIVE MY CARS PRETTY WILD AT TIMES

For a more permanent fix you can also remove the sub from the box and drill 2 long self taper screws through the inside of the box into the floor.

This will slow down thieves and in an accident it wont be a problem.

Make sure there is no lines or fuel tank!

Well velcro seems to be the way to go. Don't wanna drill holes because it only leads to more problems of some kind.

Do you guys have a problem with carpet getting pulled every which way in your cars? Do you buy both sides of the velcro or does a particular side stick naturally to the boot carpet?

How did you stick your velcro to the carpet in the car?

Cheers guys

either sew the velcro to the carpet

most wont sell just one side

u need the grip side not the fluffy side

or self adhesive velcro dots or strips

if you really want to hold the box in place, why not remove the carpet, Sikaflex a piece of 18mm MDF to the floor, put carpet back in then affix the box with some 'L' brackets. no permanent mods to the car but wont let the box go anywhere! Only a thought but it seems to work well for me.
