I also have friends in Music and Film, again they use mac.Admittedly these are all high end design studio's. I'd imagine a first year Grad, on a tight budget setting up a home / freelance studio may now opt for a P.C due to a slightly lower upfront cost. But you will also find that allot of studio's are using Imac's due to their reasonable power, and simple one box setup and lower price.By interface, I was referring to user interface. Sorry for the confusion.my home setup (when new) since replaced the crappy mouse with a Logitech G7 wirelessMacs used to be the "Tools of the trade" in design, but not anymore. You can now buy most "Mac Apps" for Windows now like 3d Studio, Quark, Photoshop, Etc.Macs interfaces are nothing special, USB, Firewire and SCSI are all common interfaces designed for both platforms. After 20 years of ownign and running a IT Service business, I use PCs every day, but still cannot program, even in Basic.
