Was trippy as when it broke, we were right behind the start line at the fence, I'd just told a mate "this F6 has gone 10.8", and then you snapped it.

Sounded like it was manual and the clutch slipped, revs went straight up and car went nowhere!

Bad luck, but at least it didn't let go at speed!

There was pics of an EL on another forum that had a tailshaft go on a dyno, cut up his exhaust, tore the auto gearbox apart, set off the airbags, and did some nasty damage to the floorpan.

Well, I'll start my own thread in the next few days with pics but I empathise with you mate, but will amaze you/everyone that last thursday I did the exact same thing in my tornado...... And its completely stock!!! Ok ok, its got a K&N panel filter..... I have never done anything overly stupid, other than 10-15 passes at the track with minimal burnouts in the water only, nothing on the street, no circle work, nada, and stalled it up hard on the footbrake the other night playing with launch tehniques, BANG, no drive.

Farkin spewin, if I hade 400rwkw, I'd expect it, but stock?? Naturally ford don't wanna know about it, tried to charge me $1900 for a replacement, last $$ I ever spend with the ford motor company in this lifetime.

The car makes 410rwkw on the race tune and the car felt fine on the drive to the track.

Unfortunately I didn't really think my launch through. Too much boost and a really sticky track is a baad idea.

I will be putting a stocker back in as I don't intend to put that much stress through it again lol.

I'll be keeping one piece as a memento. May even frame it and hang it somewhere :pinch:

so I take it, it's boosting off the line now?

sorry to here it let go though.
