And its completely stock!!! Ok ok, its got a K&N panel filter..... I have never done anything overly stupid, other than 10-15 passes at the track with minimal burnouts in the water only, nothing on the street, no circle work, nada, and stalled it up hard on the footbrake the other night playing with launch tehniques, BANG, no drive. Farkin spewin, if I hade 400rwkw, I'd expect it, but stock?? Naturally ford don't wanna know about it, tried to charge me $1900 for a replacement, last $$ I ever spend with the ford motor company in this lifetime.6BOOST Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/47098-beginners-guide-to-snapping-a-tailshaft-in-half/page/3/#findComment-700454 Share on other sites
turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 1m 7d Gender: Male Posted 01/07/08 12:59 AM Share Posted 01/07/08 12:59 AM Try using chrome molly tube in the drive shaft rebuild. Probably $200 dearer. You can use a thicker wall but there are weight issues there. Too much boost and a really sticky track is a baad idea.I will be putting a stocker back in as I don't intend to put that much stress through it again lol.I'll be keeping one piece as a memento. May even frame it and hang it somewhere so I take it, it's boosting off the line now?sorry to here it let go though.
