I would suspect that it has the same injectors as the BF so with a tune it would max out at 270rwkw at probably 10psi up top.This would suggest that the F6 has bigger injectors. How much flow they will allow for is yet to be seen.The F6 is worth the extra $ over the XR6T imo aside from the improved parts.FG Turbo injectors are bigger than the BF ones, and the F6 ones are bigger again. Turbos no longer use the same injectors as the base 6 like in the BA/F.Same bottom end now isnt it......Pistons are now different, lower compression for F6. Everything else is the same. Combine that with reasonably low boost, then maybe the extra boost while standard has not given as much of a performance boost over a stock FG Turbo. Room for improvement is greater though. NIK516 Member 18 Member For: 20y 27d Posted 01/07/08 02:59 AM Share Posted 01/07/08 02:59 AM the old gt-ho in its day did a 14.3 quarter mile and since then we have only shaved of one and a half seconds in the last 30 years.and most people know that when you get past 13 seconds quarter mile you will have to put alot of power into the engine to get it to go faster and 40 kws and and 30 more nm or torque will not cut it.we were all wishing for the f6 to do under 12s but this is I think a little to much to ask. The F6 is a lot more car than the XR6T in desirability, handling, resale value and performance.In fact according to the motoring sites and mags including Wheels extensive testing, the FG G6ETurbo is faster than the XR6T despite being slightly heavier, and in fact it is faster if you just put your foot down and time it.In reality off the lights the XR6T will eat the G6ET simply because the G6E does not have an LSD. Damned acronyms...You know normally I'd agree with you.. and that what I first thought, but all the magazine testing has said otherwise! In fact when Wheels said they got the 0-100 time of 5.1s, they repeated it over and over and over again.I think the XR6T will still have an advantage however on slightly uneven/bumpy surfaces where traction may become more of an issue. Basic power to weight rules say the XR will be quicker by maybe a tenth, but all engines are different and it may have been a case of normal production variability that the G6ET they tested may have had a healthier engine than the XR, or may have been run in more, while the XR still might have been a bit tight. But line 20 G6ET's up against 20 XR's and in theory the XR would be faster probably 90% of the time due to that variability. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
