Look, I will admit the F6 would be quicker in rolling acceleration but like you said off the line it would be on par with a xr6t due to the F6's power off the line. Where I think we would see a bigger difference off the line and 1/4 mile would be on a drag strip where there is alot better grip.

To be honest though 80km-120km in 2.7secs for the F6 is really fast but the XR6T had been recorded to do it in 3.0secs which to me is still very fast. Could you notice .3secs??

I would love to buy a F6 but I couldnt justify the extra 20 Grand. I dont think people realistically would Buy an F6 purley for speed because the difference between the T and the F6 is minimal for 20G. People would buy an F6 to have an FPV and to have a different looking car to a standard T.

Lets face it you could buy an XR6T fully optioned and get a tune which would give you way more than 310kW with a minimum of 10Grand change....

That is true, and if you do that you won't have to drive around in a car with racoon eyes either..

Put good rubber on the back of the F6 with a good driver and I think a 12.8 or slightly less would be acheivable.

There are quite a few reasons to buy a F6 stronger bottom end, larger brakes, stiffer suspension, larger wheels prestige interior and better resale value.

All these options don't come cheap! Brakes are 6k alone.

my 2cents

Same bottom end now isnt it......

I wont mention all the threads on blokes immediately changing the suspension on they're 'R-SPEC' tuned suspensioned FpV's... :ifiusethisimafag:

19's are an option on the XR's...

Exactly the same interior bar highlights, covers on the seats and a different cluster when you break it down....

Better resale because you pay more for it in the first....they depreciate at the same rate as an XR6T.....

So that just leaves brakes....

ALFOST, I agree with some of what your saying and I would like to point out my argument is aimed to say the F6 isnt a great car because I think it is fantastic. But I personally cant justify the 20grand leap for the minor changes you get.

Your tyre argument is valid to a point but both the T and the F6 run the sames tyres except one is 18inch and one is 19inch, there fore if the F6 with better tyres could run a faster times then why coulnt the T?

Secondly the interior of a Standard F6 isnt much different to a base T. Different seats, (not leather) a push to start button which to me is a little gimicky. A boost gauge and oil pressure gauge in the Dials cluster. The rest of the stuff in it is availible with luxury pack in the T which would also give you leather seats and 19inch rims( Ill admit the T's 19inch rims dont compare to the F6). Like I said you option up a T you would have more stuff inside the cabin than a base F6 with 12grand to spare.

Exterior wise you get different rims( They are sexy) racoon eyes which to me is a very personal choice thing. It should of been an option to have same colour or the black. brakes are better but to get the best ford offer its an additional 4 grand. I think suspension is the same at the T just with a differnt tune ( please correct me if im wrong) and the power difference to me if just a $900 tune away...

My argument is. People dont buy an F6 for speed. If they do there wasting 20grand. They buy an F6 to have an FPV and for bragin rights and I dont have a problem with that 1 bit :)

I see your point! FG xr6t pulled 255rwkw on the CV dyno with a tune should see 280 to 300rwkw depending on valve springs injectors etc etc.

Man these cars are going to be a force to be reckoned with, great bang for your buck!

Autotech ran up a G6T the other day and it made 239rwkw at 10psi back to 8. I would suspect that it has the same injectors as the BF so with a tune it would max out at 270rwkw at probably 10psi up top.

This would suggest that the F6 has bigger injectors. How much flow they will allow for is yet to be seen.

The F6 is worth the extra $ over the XR6T imo aside from the improved parts.
