Hey guys,

Want a bit more noise from my XT, so I thought I would remove the back muffler, and put a straight pipe there, and keep the middle muffler in, just wanted to know if there is any legal issues with doing this, and if someone has already done it, if its too loud or anything that would get me in trouble with the cops.

Cheers

Marc

I think it will drone something terrible, that's why most people just remove the centre muffler.

if you pm rapid (rapidsystems) he makes a bolt in set of pipes that will remove the centre muffler.

sounds a bit loud but isnt really noisy altho we have a turbo inline to remove some noise.

Finally got around to removing the rear muffler (have a spare exhaust lying around in the backyard so thought wth). Took around 2 hours to complete and the end result is sweet! Droning is ALMOST non-existant (surprisingly) and you can really hear it blowing air at WOT which sounds sweet, car seems quicker at higher RPMs too sounds like a V8!!

VROOM!

Just thought I would post a very quick rev vid.

I have heard one that sounded great & one that sounded not so good... sorry, that prob doesn't help a whole lot... depends what you are after?

If you do want noise, then do it! It's cheap to fix
