Quaddie, this detailed guide is freakin awesome however, after many long months I finally found what I was really after, someone who has done a motorola bluetooth mobile phone install (I saw it in the pic on page 9). How do I convince you to do another guide on installing one of these. I really want to add one in ASAP....

Another option for making rca's is buy a set of female to female ones and cut them in half to get you 4 pre made rca's. So have you found a pin out for a remote turn on for an amp yet? Or is there one you can tap for the exsisting amp? And what was the fult for the other set up not having an audio out put?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

This will be added into the guide after I write up stuff for quadie.

Problem:

After following the guide exactly I had a problem where my speakers would cut out once I plugged RCA leads into the pre-outs I just installed. The problem was in the stereo, not any other amplifier or speaker components.

Music would not come out of the speakers, but the CD kept ticking over without a problem.

Theory of how I fixed it:

I overcome the problem by preventing the low line going into the amp on the stereo board. To do this I removed some cross over bars and the soldered a signal wire in its place, thus all signal would be diverted to the RCA and not split between the amp and pre-out.

The two best locations to do this were right near the pins in the guide, and the other was on the board that sits above the CD reader (b!tch to get out).

hi there. is it possible to get some pics of the mods mickaj has done as I would like to do this mod but if I have the same prob I dont really know what was meant. cheers
