A mate had one ages ago and I always felt like we were riding in a clown car... very cosey and close together lol.

They are top car though.

Good point Chris!

Make sure you can fit in the seats too matey, I know I struggle with all the friggin Type R's and STi's running around.

Its one thing to be able to sit in them in the driveway, another thing altogether on a long trip.

I found the normal WRX seats ok (im 130kgs, 6'6) and the wrx actually had more foot room than the XR (noticeable with size 16 steel cap workboots).

After a couple of weeks, the seats moulded to my body and I never had an issue. Longest drive was only about 9hrs though (inc lunch / fuel stops). Didn't have any issues with my mates WRX's either :)

Well I Went and had a look at it today. Bloody clean car. A guy(his wife) owns it and has two kids. The car is totally stock and I went over it with a fine tooth comb. I checked every where for crash damage/ repair work. Even inside the fuel cap. No probs

Took it for a drive and its obviously a bit firmer to drive than the t. I had no dramas with the seats but they sure hug you a fair bit more than the T. Interior is very clean too and its also got a Pioneer 10 stacker. Comes with new tyres and log books with receipts. In jan this year they spent around 1500 on it for its major service. Its only got 85k on the clock. So what ya reckon.

Old classic is very light and nimble.

Major service is very labour intensive.

Usually they change the T/B tensioner as well, there's nearly $300 on its own.

You have to do the sums carefully Robbo, work out how much you'd lose by selling the T, and the fuel difference, and see how long it will take to break even.
